More details on the wedding

All in all, the wedding was really intimate and very touching/sentimental, especially for my cousin and family.

During the wedding mass at the Santuario de San Jose, I took hold of myself upon the exchanges of vows between the couple. My cousin, Ellis, was the first one to give his. I didn't expect him to veer away from the standard vow and was surprised to hear him a different one. One that certainly came from his heart. I stopped my tears from rolling down when I've heard him mention what he learned from his deceased dad (my uncle who passed away 3 yrs ago) and his mom. It's only then I've realized how his dad meant to him and how he was affected by the former's death.

The whole mass celebration generally went on smoothly, for which I was really glad.

Then the reception was at the Dusit Hotel, where the couple both work. It was mentioned that the ballroom's layout was the bride's idea and responsibility. I must say, magaling s'ya. :) It's simple but elegant.

Even before the reception started, my nieces, Elaine and Rissa, already started bugging me about getting the bouquet para ako na ang next! Hay naku talaga ang mga batang iyun! And the rest is history na (as mentioned in my previous post)...

To add in the sentimentality of the occasion were the personal messages from friends and relatives. Ellis was really trying to stop himself from crying, but, he failed. For anyone would see him wiping his eyes with the table napkin. His dad's memory was often mentioned and that triggered his tearducts to burst. It started with one of their ninong, who was his dad's best friend. And then, it was his mom's turn to give her message. And yes, it was really affecting since she will be left alone in their house now that Ellis will move out, she requested from them not to forget her. :(

Despite these very emotional moments, the event was all good naman. This will indeed be the most emotional wedding event that I've attended.

guess what....

I got the bride's bouquet early this evening in my cousin Ellis' wedding. Sheessshhh...It's funny when I just wrote about the pressure and the dread. Tsk tsk tsk...

(I just gotta let this off of my chest...)

Dreading tomorrow

Aside from getting nervous as tomorrow's lector/commentator for my cousin's wedding mass, I somehow dreaded another event of this like.

I'm one-year older than Ellis and I'm getting paranoid again about relatives (adults and kids alike) asking or teasing me when I'll follow suit. I've already written here that I am now accepting the possibility that I might never marry nor find someone who'll really love me like how the princes feel for their princesses, leading men for their leading ladies, etc.

I am now starting to practice how to answer them with confidence and conviction. I just hope I'll pull it through and would make them appreciate more what I've become with or without a Significant Other (S.O.). That is without hearing anyone from them asking why or what's wrong.

So help me, God.

getting sentimental once again

It's really hard getting sick for me.

Aside from not feeling well (this time with serious colds), the senti-feeling always starts to creep in each time. :(

I've started to be realistic and prepare myself for single-blessedness.

I am now starting to really welcome the idea of being single for the rest of my life for I may not meet the One I really like to be with.

But, of course, with a time like this (being sick), I still can't help but feel lonely and long for someone who would like/love to take care of me and my needs, exerting effort to make me feel better, or would just simply make me feel he cares. In short, I really longed for TLC.

Well, I am feeling better now even without this TLC. As usual, it's only in the mind. I now have to face reality again.

*shrugs*
